Government - Draft Investigation Plan:Assume that you are a government lawyer who received a copy of the Unit 3 Statement of Facts. Develop an investigation plan designed to outline the steps you would take to investigate the merits of the allegations. The investigation plan should be a detailed outline that addresses the below.

• What are the key factual issues you would investigate and why?
  • Provide a summary of the statutes that might be an issue and a brief explanation of possible theories to investigate that could establish a violation of these statutes?
  • What legal issues would you want to investigate further?
• Identify possible defenses to the whistleblower's claims that the company or an individual might raise.
• Identify the individuals or groups of individuals who potentially have information about the alleged wrongdoing.
  • What information do you need from them to evaluate the merits of the whistleblowers' claims?
  • Is there anyone you would want to talk to outside the company? If so, who and why?
• Outline Requests for Information.
  • Write three document requests and two interrogatories that you want to be answered by the company to help you investigate your claims. For each, explain the reason for including the request and what information you'd be looking for in response.
  • Identify at least three individuals (e.g., sales manager), that you would want to interview, and explain what information you would attempt to elicit from them.
