Meet Mr. A, CEO of a small computer chip company. Mr. A has a sister well call Ms. B who owns a small, commercial janitorial company. Mr. A has a very close life-long friend we will call Mr. C. Mr. C is a corporate vice-president of a retail company with retail outlets over a ten-state region. Mr. A, Ms. B, and Mr. C all live within the same large metropolitan area. Ms. B and Mr. C are acquaintances only. Mr. C has recently sent out bids to several local janitorial firms to contract for cleaning services for twenty-five retail outlets over the ten-state area. Mr. C is interested in awarding the contract to one company to avoid having to deal with numerous cleaning companies over the ten-state area for the twenty-five retail operations. Mr. C mentions to Mr. A, over beers one evening, that he would like to get this cleaning contract wrapped up and move on to other things. A says to C, What cleaning contract? C explains that he has let out bids to clean his twenty-five stores over his ten-state region. A says, Man that would be something Shirley would really like to get her hands on. Shes dying for the big contract. C says, Yea, that right, your sister has a cleaning company doesnt she? A replies in the affirmative with, Yea, I thought you knew that. C says, Yea, I did, but I guess it slipped my mind. The two have another beer or two and finally C says, Tell you what pal, when I get these bids in Ill call your sister.
