Melissa has been a hospital administrator for 25 years in an integrated health care system. The system is now moving to an HR Shared Service Center and HR Business Partner model. This will involve no longer having HR assistants on site to answer transactional HR questions and help managers and employees. They will need to use the HR Shared Service Center. Melissa has shared with her direct reports and her HR leader that they will not be changing the way HR is delivered at their hospital. She feels this will disengage the hospital employees and if needed, she will pay for an employee to stay as an HR assistant and help the staff/managers
