Members of the University of York Sports Centre can book classes online, at Reception or via the automated system at the gym. Classes available for pre$-$booking only become available online and on the system at $08\mathrm{.}00$ on a Monday morning. The classes fill up and get booked very quickly so the system has to update in real time. No more than two exercise classes can be booked for any one day by any one member, although classes can be booked up to $7$ days ahead. For fitness classes there is one instructor per class of $30.$ For spin classes there is one instructor per $15$ members, and these can be delivered using a remote instructor on the giant screen. The type of classes that can be booked depends on the type of membership.
