Select a public company that interests you. You will use this company to research throughout the course. 3. Obtain the company's most recent annual report on Form lU-K. The Form 10-K is the company's annual required filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). It includes the company's financial statements and accompanying notes. The Form 10-K can be obtained either (A) by referring to the investor relations section of the company's website or (B) by using the company real-world search feature of the U. S Securities and Exchange EDGAR database service. 4. To locate the annual report using the EDGAR database, navigate to the website and type your selected company's name into the search box as shown below. Note: You must use official company name. 5. When the list of available documents is shown, enter the term 10-K in the filing type box and click the Search button in the upper right corner. 6. From the available documents, locate the most recently filed 10-K report. Click on the Documents button to access the l-K filing for the most recent year as shown in the screenshot below. T. Download the 10K report for the most recent year available. You must submit {attach} a PDF or .htm file of this report with your essay in this lesson and in future lessons. 8. Write an 80- to loo-word description of why you want to research this company in a Microsoft Word document. For this essay, APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.
