Methods Sample The ELC was originally developed by members of the Ball State Center for Substance Use Research and Community Initiatives. It was first implemented in the Fall of 2021 and currently runs as a required practice course for senior-level BSW students each semester. The most recent data available for the course was collected in the Fall of 2022. As of January 2023, 61 senior-level social work students have completed the course with 25 participating in the Fall of 2021, 12 participating in Spring 2022, and 24 participating in Fall 2022. Participants in the sample were primarily white and female (72%), and 93% were between 21 and 25years old. Full sample demographics are provided inTable 1. Table 1.Participant Demographics.
