Methyl bromide is produced by reacting methyt amine ( CH3NH2 ) and bromine cyanide (CNBr) in aqueous media. The reaction given below pertormed isothermally in a semibatch reactor is characterised by a rate constant value of k=2.3L/mol.s : CNBr+CH3NH2CH3Br+NCNH2 The reactor initially contains 5 litres of 0.05M aqueous solution of bromine cyanide, to which a continuous aqueous stream of metryl amine is fed at 3 litres per minute. The concentration of methyl amine in this feed stream is 0.025M. (a) Develop ditterential mass balance expressions for each of the two reactants starting from first principles [4 marks] (b) Solve the differential equations derived in (a) to develop a plot showing how the concentration of each reactant varies as a function of time over the first 7 minutes of semibatch operation (Use Euler's method on MS Excel for this - provide a screenshot of your MS Excel sheet along with the graph in your submission) [6 marks]
