Ethics, Learning and CSR Reflection Paper

In this assignment you will be required to watch a TEDtalk about Ethics, Learning Organizations and Corporate Responsibility. You will provide summary of the talk and you will analyze that theory/topic in terms of your life and its application to business.

The purpose of this assignment is to help you learn more about these theories/topics and relate it to your life for personal and professional development as a business leader in your organizations. Additional instructions are provided below and in the grading rubric.

You may choose your own if it fits the subject matter requirements. If you have any doubt, ask the instructor about your material.

Part A - Research

You are required to watch a TEDTalk on the topic of Ethics, Learning Organizations and Corporate Social Responsibility. You will then provide a two page summary of the most important aspects of that presentation (e.g., what it is, what the main components of it are, what it means to an organization, why it is important, what the presented research shows about the implementation of that theory, benefits, limitations, etc.).

When the reader is finished reading this section, they should know the most important aspects of your presentation.

Student will include one source of peer-reviewed material that supports the presenter's theory in this section. Student will also include the source of your selected TEDTalk on your reference page. These sources should account for most of your information. You may include other types of sources as well. Any material used as reference material that is not a part of the class PowerPoints, Handouts, Brightspace, should be included on the reference page.

Part B - Reflection

You are required to prepare a two page personal reflection on your theory/topic. Specifically, answer these questions in essay format:

• Have you seen and/or you experienced this theory/topic in your professional life? If so, provide specific examples. If you have not experienced it, how would you have liked to see it implemented?

• Will you integrate this theory/topic into your strategic management approach in the future? If so, why, and how? If not, why?

When the reader is finished reading this section, they should have an understanding about your experiences with the subject matter of your presentation, how the implementation of the presentation's material affected you or how you can possibly use the presentation material in the future.

More of these types of sources will increase the grade in this section. Student has included the critical aspects of her/his theory/topic, student has presented a thorough understanding of the theory/topic. Part B Student has answered if she/he has and/or does utilize this theory/topic in her/his life. If so, specific examples were provided. If you do not use it in your life, discuss why you believe your previous employers have not. Student has discussed if she/he plans to integrate this theory/topic into her/his strategic management approaches in the future. A detailed explanation has been provided. Sources have been documented accurately, including in-text citations and reference page. For each error that is made, points will be deducted.
