Michael was recently dismissed from his job as a taxi driver from Fast Cars, a taxi firm in Milton Keynes. Michael had been working there for the past three years.

Michael head-butted Giovanni, a fellow taxi driver, after finding out that he had kissed his 15-year-old daughter Emily at a party the previous week. Giovanni subsequently fell to the ground, and fractured his arm and wounded his head.

Michael was dismissed on the spot by the owner of Fast Cars, Jeremia Lewis, who cited gross misconduct.

Michael has a clause in his employment contract whereby either party must give a notice period of 12 weeks to terminate the contract of employment.

Michael would like to take Fast Cars to the Employment Tribunal.
