Mike and Joe set up an interior decorating business, called The Young Ones, which is designed to decorate the homes of rich young professionals. They each contribute $10,000 into a joint account, which is to be used as the working capital for the business. The business operates from a house owned by Rick. Rick also advises the business on a number of important issues. They employ Neil, as a handyman, to do a number of odd jobs for the business.

Joe is very fond of rabbits. When he sees a rabbit sale in a pet shop, he orders 200 rabbits for the business. He does not tell anyone about it. Rick and Mike are furious, when they find rabbits wandering everywhere throughout the house. They refuse to pay the pet shop for these rabbits and they tell Joe he has three days to get rid of them.
