Mini Project Description

In this course, students are expected to design a system using algorithm and then write the program in Visual Basic. The mini project constitutes 20% of the total grade for the class. This document is meant to provide guidelines as the expectations on the quality and scope of the project.

A. Guidelines for Mini Project

1. You are the owner of YOURBUSINESS. You may choose any type of business of your interest that will satisfy the purpose of this project to run. Based on the type of business that you have chosen, you are required to design a system to help you to run the business efficiently and effectively. The system also allows you to keep track of every business details for your company professionally.

2. Group project must consist of a maximum FOUR (4) persons.

3. Each group must choose different project titles. No duplication of titles is allowed. (Cake business)

B. Project Requirement

1. Students are required to use all possible methods covered in this subject and others of your knowledge.

2. Student MUST include the following processes in your program:
   1. Calculation/Formula/Algorithm related base on the project title (E.g. discount, tax,

CGPA)

2. Decision
3. Looping
4. Summation/Total and average

**Used of max min are optional and will be allocate in bonus mark

3. Include REMARK statements at any particular part of your program that is necessary for indication the purposes.

4. Each group is required to submit PROJECT REPORT and must include the following information:
   1. Name of YOURBUSINESS (Program name) (The Slice)
   2. Introduction
      • A summary of what you try to develop
      • Briefly explain the scenario of the system
   3. Objectives
      • Objective of development. E.g. To record..., To calculate, To find the highest d. Flowchart design
   5. Completed program (Source code)
   6. Sample input/output
   7. Your final, completed and working program must burn in a CD. If parts of your program do not work or are not working originally as planned, provide some additional notes about this. List out of any bugs/problems in the program.

• Cover page use the provided project report cover sheet

• Evaluation will be done base on the rubric provided
• Submission project report and presentation is on Week 14
