Minxi is the owner of The Perfume Store. She needs a cash budget to forecast the cash position at the end of July and August 2019. The following information is provided at 30 June 2019 The collection pattern for debtors is as follows: - 40% in the month of the sales. A discount of 5% is allowed for this early payment, - 55% in the month after the sales and 5% is bad debt. All purchases are on credit and paid for in the month after purchase to take advantage of a 10% discount Other forecast transactions include: - sales of old office equipment for $2000 in August - Depreciation is calculated at $1600 per month. - Interest on the mortgage is $10500 per year, payable monthly. - general office expenses of $700 per month - Minxi plans to withdraw stock to the value of $3000 in July and $5000 cash in August for personal use - Minxi wants to buy a new delivery van at a cost of $55000 on 1 August, to be paid cash. - The wages expense is expected to be $4000 per month. There were no outstanding wages at the end of June. There is expected to be $500 wages outstanding at the end of July and no wages owing at the end of August. Other information: - The bank account of The Perfume Store at 30th June 2019 shows a debit balance of $3700 Use the above information to prepare the following: a) Collection from Debtors for July and August.
