Assignments are to be submitted via SLATE Assignments box to the Assignment #2 folder. Late submissions will receive a deduction of 10% per day late and will not be graded It submitted more than 5 days after the deadline. This assignment is worth 15% of your nal marl-t in this course. You will be assigned to work in groups of approximately 4 members. Each group will be assigned a different scenario to outline the tort case on behaif of both the plaintiffis} and the detendantisl and prepare a Powerpoint presentation or Google Slides to present its answer. If you are in group 1 you will discuss only scenario 1: if you are in group 2 you will only answer the scenario in question 2 and so on. In other words. each group only answers one question. All the members of the group must be named on the rst slide. For evaluation criteria. see the attached rubric. 1. Branko Dubrovnik had been unable to obtain tickets to a heavy metal rock concert by the group Blow it Out Your Head. He decided to go to the stadium anyway, to see if any last-minute tickets would be available. Because there was no opportunity for a second performance. the stadium manager decided to sell extra tickets. and allow fans into the area that stretched the rst 10 feet (3 metres) in front of the speakers, right in front of the stage. Dubrovnik managed to obtain one of these tickets. and when he was told that it was directly in front of the stage and the speakers. he responded. \"The louder the better. man. I wanna be taken out of my head." For two hours, the young man's ears were subjected to extreme high- volume sound. When he awoke the next morning. he was surprised at how quiet the house wasand then suddenly realized that he had lost his hearing. Over the next several months, his hearing returned, but he had permanently lost 60 percent of the hearing in his right ear, and 30 percent in the left. The young man's hope of becoming a classical autist appears to be hopeless now. Branko decides to sue. 2.
