Discussion post assignment:

Choose 1of three ERP systems from the following list:

1. Aptean ERP
2. Strategic ERP
3. Syspro ERP

Use online resources to research the ERP system chosen and answer the questions below.

1.List the ERP vendor you chose and the client revenue/size market your ERP system serves (reference pg 37, Table 2.1, note "b").

2.Does your ERP system specialize in a certain industry or industries?Include some of the industries that the ERP emphasizes on its website.

3.Does the ERP vendor use a "cloud-based" system, an "on the premises" type of software that must be installed at the company, or both?

4.Does the ERP vendor offer its own CRM software solution, does it offer connectivity to CRM modules from other vendors (i.e., a "best of breed" approach)? or both?

5.Select one industry that your ERP system focuses on:

a.List available add-on modules (i.e., beyond the scope of "normal" ERP modules -- see your textbook for clarity) that are relevant to that industry.

b.Describe one of the add-on modules that you listed.

c.State specifically how this add on Module assists with achieving the company's business objectives for that industry.

Reply to a post which discusses a different ERP than the one you chose.Review a classmates' posts and provide feedback about their chosen ERP and how their findings enhanced your understanding of ERPs in general. Your reply should consider a variety of issues and should be at least 5-6 sentences in length.
