Module 4 Entry 1 Prompt: For this journal entry, discuss the one leadership theory presented to this point in the class which most resonates with you (Trait, Skill, or Situational). Explain why your selected your theory.
1. Descriptive: The learner (you) approaches the text or media and begins to understand the content, the characters, setting, plot, and intent. In this phase, you "get" the idea of what is presented. TheDescriptiveentry is not a summary, but an exploration of how you react to your first exposure to the content.
2. Interpretive: In this phase, you bring your world to the content. What does the material "say" to you through your own personal experience or lens? Any perspective may be included or excluded: race, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or any other lens you choose to use.
3. Critical Review:Reflect on any sociocultural biases you see in the text or media. Is there hidden bias in the content? Who has the power of leadership and why?
4. Creative:How can you take the knowledge from this module or new insights you may have gained and use them for self-transformation? In other words, is there something here you could apply to yourself as a leader (or potential leader) or to your own environment?
This journal entry has a value of 25 points. A rubric is not provided for journal entries. Guidance will be provided to you on an ongoing basis as constructive criticism. You will be allowed the opportunity in each journal entry to continue working (if additional entries are indicated as necessary by the instructor).
