At one point in the film the head scout (Grady Fuson) confronts Billy saying that you can't build a baseball team with a computer, it isn't just numbers and science, it's experience and intuition. Does the scout have a point? What should economists do when a data-based decision conflicts with a decision based on experience or intuition? Please give an example when an economist would face a decision where data and experience conflict and how you would personally make your own.
