Morgan visits you for counselling as she has been referred to you from a friend who is concerned for Morgan's welfare. Morgan tells you that she lost her husband a couple months ago who passed away from a form of brain cancer. She tells you that she is missing him terribly and struggling with taking care of their three (3) children by herself. She tells you that she has been struggling to cope with the sadness and being by herself for the first time in a while. Morgan also tells you that every now and then, she gets a sudden outburst of anger which is very out of character for her. Morgan explains to you that last night, she threw dishes into the sink after dinner as she felt a sense of anger that seemed to overtake her. Morgan says that she feels as if she has so many feelings, but it is only anger that comes out. She tells you that she broke a couple of glasses and says that this behaviour not only scared her, but really scared her children. She goes on to tell you about her husband and the love they had for each other. Morgan mentioned how he loved his children so much and how he would always make time for them and spend lots of time with them. She says his illness came on very unexpectedly and within a month of his diagnosis, he was gone. Morgan explains how the children aren't coping either and keeps asking her when he's coming home from the hospital. You have chosen to implement Person-Centered Therapy to assist Morgan.
