Mr. and Mrs. Randall Davis were shopping for a truck to tow their 18-foot trailer. They went to Dave's Discount Autos, a used car dealership. The owner, Dave, showed them an F-350 truck which was what the Davises were looking to purchase. Dave told them 1) it would tow their trailer; 2) it could go up to 350,000 miles; and 3) there was only one previous owner. He offered them the opportunity to take it for a test drive. There is a sign posted at the dealership stating "all vehicles sold as is." The Davises took the truck for a test drive and then purchased it. The next day they noticed the power locks did not work and the heater did not work. They attempted to tow their trailer but within a mile or two although Mr. Davis "floored it," the truck did not respond and smoke poured out of the truck. They further discovered the truck was using a lot of oil. They then checked CAR-FAX and discovered the truck had 7 prior owners. Very upset, the Davises took the truck back to Dave and demanded their money be refunded which he refused. In a clear post, please address the following two points of argument:
