Define one's own values, fundamental beliefs, strengths, and opportunities for development Relate the connections between self- awareness, self-concept, and self-esteem Develop a positive self-image Foster positive self-talk and self- determination Recognize the influence of gender norms and gender biases in one's daily life Purpose To initiate a process of self-knowledge, and resilience by exploring and identifying the concept of self-esteem, (healthy or low self- esteem self-concept, self-image and by fostering positive self-talk and self-determination while recognizing the influence of gender norms and gender biases in their lives.
