Every school has a unique name, and a contact email address. For every faculty member the college wishes to maintain the information about her/his unique employee ID, name (first, optionally middle, and last), unique work email; and any other (if any) email(s) associated with this faculty member. A department has many faculty members assigned to it, but each faculty member can be assigned to only one department. At the same time there are faculty members who are not assigned to any department. When a new department is created it must have at least one faculty member associated with this department.
