Student one: Mental imagery is something that is used everyday the example given in the book is using your memory of what your friend looks like is used to look through settings to find your friend. In the article written by Necaise et al in 2022 conducted research on mental imagery and how mood can impact this. They found that there was not a lot of research conducted on people who suffered from mood disorders like depression and anxiety, and they wanted to address the gap that there was in this type of research. With the research they use vivid mental images and a questionnaire, then they tested mindfulness. They were able to find that people who had more mindfulness with themselves they were able to better recall the mental imagery. But it was only assumed that individuals with less mindfulness were not able to recall as much mental imagery. Emotional distress did not seem to deter from what the original results but did so a good relationship between being mindful and the ability to use mindfulness.
