Mutual Assent

We learned about some events that affect the validity of Mutual Assent. When these things occur, the underlying contract is deemed void or voidable. Duress comes in two forms: Physical Compulsion and Improper Threats.

Questions:

1)Give an example of each of these two forms (your own hypothetical, using facts and examples).

2)Why do you think the law has evolved to make a contract obtained through Physical Compulsion void, while providing that one obtained through Improper Threat is voidable? Explain in detail and thoroughly.
