My assignment is asking me to design 3 theme park attractions on the moon using the physics concepts of circular motion, projectile motion and gravity. There are two parts which I need help with (attached), and the first is the quantitative analysis of any rides. I am unsure of how to actually do the maths to determine any g - forces or normal forces, and then relate this to the theory of motion at an A level. Furthermore, I am unsure of how to find any initial speeds or useful values, so overall, I do not even know where to start. Secondly, I need help with analysing how results would differ from Earth because of the differences on the moon.

These are my ideas for the two rides and any help with the quantitative aspect is very much appreciated (need to find numbers for any variables listed)

1. There is a launcher set to 20 degrees which launches a person of mass 200kg (fixed value) to a trampoline which is some horizontal range away, and then this trampoline will bounce them to a surface that is also some horizontal distance away. I am not sure how to even approach this question.

2. My second is a simple rollercoaster loop, where people are launched at 30 degrees across some horizontal range (need to find this stuff) at some speed and land on a rollercoaster track which is 100m above the horizontal. The ride will then go through a loop de loop. I need to find the g forces, speeds, normal force, impact of gravity and any dimensions for this as well. Assume banked tracks.

For this piece you need to design three rides/attractions that apply the physics content covered in class and the critical thinking part. Pictures/diagrams of the rides must be included. Of the three rides/attractions, at least one must include circular motion, and at least one must include projectile motion. Your piece must communicate to a general audience how the ride/attraction uses physics principles to cover these topics: . How the ride/attraction creates an enjoyable or thrilling experience. . How the ride/attraction makes use of the unique conditions on the moon. . How the ride/attraction keep the guests safe. . Further physics related facts that make the attraction unique/interesting You must include relevant quantitative information about the ride. . This must include the maximum accelerations/g-forces and Normal forces felt. . Other relevant quantitative information should be included (e.g. consider dimensions of the rides or speeds reached). You can decide if the ride/attraction will be built in a pressurised building with an atmosphere, or if it will be built in vacuum with the guests wearing pressure suits.Question 3 15 marks - Outcome 1A Choose two (2) examples of features from your lunar theme park rides/attractions. How will you manage the economic cost of attending the park, and can you allow equitable access? . How well does your theme park allow enjoyment for visitors who have conditions or disabilities that prevent them from safely experiencing forces on normal thrill rides at amusement parks on Earth? .
