My decision-making style apparently is that I tend to make decisions without getting everyone involved. I was really surprised that I scored a 50. I have meetings weekly with my staff members and felt that I do get all parties involved before rolling out a change or implementing a new process. This may stem from being single and I make my own decisions without needing to get anyone else involved. That may not be a good thing as I believe I bring that mentality to the workplace. It feels that I tend to make the decisions, and everyone just goes along with it since I am the manager. I need to ensure that going forward, I ask the why's behind my decision to the team. Why are they going along with this? What type of feedback do you feel this will receive? Will we get pushback from the team? Is there a better way? Getting my managers involved will bring ownership as a team and not just one sided. This was great assessment for me to see what I need to work on.
