My husband, who is an older sibling, thinks that younger siblings instigate more sibling quarrels than older siblings do.I am a younger sibling and I beleive that older siblings instigate more sibling quarrels.Since we disagree we decided to study sibling quarrels to test the hypothesis that there is a difference in the number of sibling quarrels instigated by the younger or older sibling. We recruited 10 sibling pairs. The siblings were considered matched pairs for the purpose of the study since they came from the same families. The data for the number of quarrels instigated in an hour of observation by each sibling are provided below.
Copy or type the data into an Excel spreadsheet.Run the appropriate test to test the hypothesis at the 5% significance level (? = 0.05). For ANOVAs run the main analysis only (not post hoc tests).
