My name is Dan Esselstrom and I am currently an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Flight Chief in the Air Force. I am stationed at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado and I have been previously stationed in Florida, Georgia, Turkey, Montana, and Guam. I have a bachelor's in Criminal Justice and am pursuing my MBA with a concentration in analytics. I have served 16.5 years and would love to work in the business sector after my service. I'm hoping my back holds out after I get a double disc replacement this summer. I plan to find a job where I can use my mind more than my back after the military. My experience with explosives doesn't necessarily translate well to many civilian sectors but my job requires attention to detail, leadership, and solving high-risk problems. I utilize risk management in my job because it is not safe. I make decisions to increase the probability of success and make it less dangerous.
