1. question :----PRJ Task 2: Case Study - Event Feasibility

Read the following case study:--and and Completed Feasibility Plan template

Mercedes Benz has asked your Event company to calculate and present a feasibility study for their three-day international conference which they plan to hold in Melbourne, Australia in May of 2023.----Crown would be the property we would use as they have sufficient accommodation as also conference space and they are well situated in Melbourne CBD. They also have a highly experienced team who will be easy to deal with as they understand how to organise and stage conferences.-----The rates which are shown here would be negotiated rates as your company would have a good business relationship with them and as a result you would have special corporate rates for conferences.

These figures are their projections which are based on previous conferences of the same nature. Of course, there are many factors which can influence the uptake from attendees and we have learned during the pandemic that this is highly possible.

Other factors which could affect it would be currency fluctuation, weather events or conflict. Bearing all that in mind, we are going ahead with our feasibility study and will now calculate the costs involved and at what point if we have to, we will either postpone or cancel the event. Cancellation date if necessary, would depend on at what point we have to pay for all the facilities and staging components. Refund policies will have to be put in place as well.

The study will be presented in a professional document, which is supplied for the student to use.

The following categories will have to be included in your study:

1.Description of our company2.Scope of the project3.Date of the project4.Terms and conditions5.Date for receiving final bookings - final bookings no later than 6 months prior.Cancellation penalties - 50% cancellation up to 3months prior - less than 3 months prior, no refund

Your conclusion should state the following:

1.How many tickets you will have to sell to reach break-even point.2.How long before the event would be feasible to cancel in case we have not sold sufficient tickets.
