Name the two types of returns described in the Total Compensation Mix. List two (2) examples of each.

The Fayetteville Fire Department is looking to hire a firefighter to start as soon as possible. The fire chief only has the budget to extend a job offer to one of two candidates - Michael or Andrew - but is having trouble deciding who among the two to choose. Michael possesses a high degree of job-related knowledge and skill, given his 5 years of experience as a firefighter in Chicago. His former employer has praised Michael for his unmatched physical ability, but did acknowledge concerns regarding risk-taking and emotional volatility. Andrew is relatively new to firefighting. He's worked in a small town for one year where there haven't been many fires but he's participated in a lot of practical training. He is a certified EMT and is currently training for water rescues. His former employer has praised him for his "can do" personality and leadership skills, but did acknowledge that Andrew is not as strong as some of his other firefighters. The fire chief turns to you for help with his decision. Using the information provided, who would you recommend for hire and why?
