You heard he's single lives alone and doesn't have kids. What is your immediate response to his choice in . Food stuff. Option A he really loves crackers Option B He has a coupon for a low price to buy boxes of crackers. I chose B. B is chosen less often. But in this case it's correct. People rarely choose this because of fundamental attribution error. They attribute a person action to personality and don't consider the situational variables that could have caused the problem. As you have learned, most people attribute behavior like this to a persons, personality, a situational influence such as coupon. This error is so common that it was given the name fundamental attribution error to note it's prevalence.
