Ne cannot look at or listen to the popular press without hearing discussions about tariffs and protectionism. Most commonly the conversation is about China, but there are also tariffs with Canada, Mexico, Japan, and others. What does this mean? Are they good or bad? What does it mean for US companies? For US consumers? Pay attention to the terminology, do they talk about free trade or fair trade. Are they the same?
