Nearly 20 years after the CI technique was developed, Fisher and Schreiber (in press) in the U.S., and Clarke and Milne (2001) in the U.K. examined how police officers interview witnesses and they found Group of answer choices for the most part, officers do not use CI when interviewing witnesses officers use many of the cognitive aspects of C.I., but none the the social aspects a large majority of officers use all aspects of CI when interviewing witnesses C.I. methods are not legal to use in most jurisdictions
