neDrive/Desktop/diploma%20of%20hospitality%20management/11.%20Indentify%20Hazard/SITXWI + 2 | A Read aloud | Draw ducofon & training occa Assessment Task 1 - Student Assessment Instructions: The evidence will need to provide for assessment To be able to provide evidence that you can identify hazards and assess safety risks, in the role of a Sous Chef, in AVETA's fully operational commercial kitchen you will be required to utilise the WorkSafe Victoria's "HEALTH AND SAFETY SELF-ASSESSMENT CHECKLIST FOR SMALL BUSINESS" to identify each of the following types of actual or foreseeable workplace hazards: Physical environment Plant Work practice Security issue Note - prior to using this tool you will be required to confirm that the tool identifies all the above actual or foreseeable workplace hazards with your Assessor. For Assessor to deem the student' responses as either: OS - Satisfactory or O NS-Not Satisfactory Once your Assessor has confirmed that the tool identifies all the likely actual or foreseeable workplace hazards you then will be required to assess the safety risk associated with each of the above hazards (that you using this Checklist) and the Risk Matrix in AVETA's fully operational commercial kitchen. You will be required to record whether the potential risks that you have listed are actual or foreseeable workplace hazards (recorded on the Checklist as either Yes or No; plus your Risk rating for the No's, in the Comments column, that you have determined for each). When undertaking this Assessment Task you will be observed by your Assessor: identifying hazards and assessing the safety risk associated with these hazards. When you have completed your Risk Assessment using WorkSafe Victoria's "HEALTH AND SAFETY SELF- ASSESSMENT CHECKLIST FOR SMALL BUSINESS" and the "Risk Assessment" (recorded in the comments column) for each hazard that you have identified submit it to your Assessor, as evidence for summative assessment. Your Assessor will use the Observable Behaviours - Assessor Checklist Task 1 to ensure that you have satisfactorily completed all assessment requirements for this Assessment Task
