NEED ANSWERS FOR THIS CASE:
Joe, a farmer who lived out in the rural part of BC had been raising 100 red coloured cattle that he bought in March 2020. They were cattle that he was feeding to sell in the fall for much more than he bought them. He woke up one morning in May to find the cattle gone. He reported the loss to the police but there was no evidence of anyone stealing them although there were rumours a large green cattle truck had been seen around his farm the prior day. Two months passed and he didn't find them. Then in early September, he was driving about 100 km north of his farm going on a holiday and he saw 100 red coloured cattle in a field as he drove by. He immediately thought they were his cattle. Joe went to the owner Mike and said he told Mike his story about his "lost" cattle which Joe knew had been stolen. Mike was pretty chill and told Joe he had bought these cattle about 2 months ago at a certified auction so while he felt badly for Joe, the cattle were Mike's.He allowed Joe to go check the cattle and when Joe did, sure enough, they were his cattle his as proven by the tags in their ears. Mike said he would not give the cattle back to Joe the Farmer. Joe wants to sue.
