Introduction
At the onset of any project, there seems to be a desired outcome. However, every project
is littered with countless variables. Each of these variables have the opportunity to derail,
enhance, or keep the plan on course. Due to this, after each project is complete, it is important to
review what worked and what did not. It is important to understand what to continue to use
moving forward, what to remove, and what to add.
Expected Outcome
The organization originally expected one specific buyer to complete the desired
acquisition. The expectation from the beginning was that this buyer would fulfill all of the needs
the company was looking for. In an effort to have this desired outcome met, goals and milestones
were put in place. The guiding coalition was a major driving factor of the change management.
This group helped to keep the acquisition steps on task as well as providing the right
communication and information to the proper parties at the proper times.
