Our PR team should explain to the public that our choice to open so soon was done only
after first focusing on improving safety so that another such accident would not recur. Other than
the safety aspect, our main emphasis should be on the fact that our choice to reopen so soon was
tough due to fear of such accusations but we chose to regardless in order to give our visitors what
they wanted rather than depriving them of fun for any longer than we had to. Our corporate website should have a posting emphasisisng our mission to provide fun
while also providing safety and how our commitment to both of these values as motivated us to
go ahead and reopen the park.
Social Media Response Methods
I think that until our new marketing strategy addressing the negative opinions has had
time take hold, social media comments from the public should either be disabled temporarily or
constantly monitored and heavily sanitized to disallow the negativity from breeding on our own
channels anyways.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Communications Strategy
Our CSR initiatives are to avoid false and negative advertising. Because of this we must
avoid lying to downplay the seriousness of the accident, by embellishing our efforts to improve
safety, or by making some sort of stance that profit doesn't matter to us. We should also avoid
any kind of retaliatory smear campaign against our adversaries in order to shift focus off of us.
