Change plans are created by understanding many external factors such as political,

economic, social, technological, legal, and environmental forces, also known as PESTLE forces

that influence an organization. The careful examination of PESTLE forces can be used to

recognize major opportunities and threats that can be adjusted through organizational change

strategies. Therefore, in considering a change management plan for the organization, external

factors can affect the organization's change readiness. To analyze this, we will use the tool

PESTLE forces and will focus specifically on the social and technological sections.

Social Factors:

Many Social factors can play a role in the change readiness of the U.S. unit's workforce.

Lifestyles, education, attitude towards the Singaporean division, Culture, value system, and

leadership. We can look at employees broken down by age group, gender, race/ethnicity, and

experience to analyze this. The U.S. branch overview shows a high turnover rate due to low

company morale, lack of training and career growth opportunities, work-life balance, poor

management or leadership practices, and poor communication. It shows that the turnover is

mainly concentrated with the younger employees, the older employees tend to stay with the

company. Changes to the social environment within the U.S branch can benefit the employees'

attitudes and improve the company's Culture Culture and value system. Leadership can be the

cause of employee dissatisfaction. The data shows that high-level management remains in the

role for upward of 7 years while the low-level employees stick around under two years and, with

some adjustment to leadership effectiveness, can bring about changes in the unit's social fabric,

resulting in employee change readiness.
