Role of HR as a Facilitator of Change
Hr has multiple roles in managing change. HR has the function of ensuring the transition
is recognized, established, and implemented with respect. HR has competencies the allow them to work with relationship management, critical evaluation, consultant, and leadership. HR also
engages with employees needed in the change and also supports the navigation of said change.
HR should work closely with executives and senior leaders in planning the right changes. HR
drives the change that will drive positive value and improve organizational effectiveness while
helping to align strategy and culture. (SHRM, 2021) The HR facilitates change as they support
leaders in negotiating the appropriate changes needed. HR supports employees and leaders and
ensures the transition is impactful to the over culture and strategy. HR can lead change in respect
of required changes in policy and procedures to the organization. HR supports the implantation
and planning, so they are leaders and facilitators in the change process. A change facilitator is
different from a change leader who coaches and mentors the team. A change facilitator helps the
organization and people to adapt to change. The facilitator, much like HR, ensures the initiatives
benefit the over-the strategy of the organization. The changing facilitator supports employees by
speeding up employee adoption and engagement.
