One key performance indicator that can be used is the number of fuel-efficient or fuel
alternative aircraft in its fleet. Currently, TransGlobal owns 1,062 planes. Figuring out how many it could replace with modern fuel-efficient aircraft would be something that should be reviewed and watching that main number would show how the company is measuring up. If financially feasible, swapping even a 1:3 ratio for fuel-efficient planes to non would indicate a change to the company's impact on their emission.
Another KPI that could be used is the amount of fuel in inventory that has to be kept.
Currently, the company has over $321 million in fuel on hand. While this may last for a while,
it's not going to last forever. And using it is not going to lessen the impact the company has on
the environment and customer/employee satisfaction. Not keeping that inventory stocked and moving money away from that expense will show that the company is on the right path to
becoming more sustainable and less reliant on fossil fuels.
