need help on this is from my trigonometric class need the help PLS have to use excel
For our third computer lecture, we would like to use Excel to evaluate inverse trigonometric functions. Lets evaluate several inverse trigonometric functions at the point 1/2.
Follow these steps after you open the Excel program.
Click on cell A1.
Type x
Click on enter
Click on cell A2.
Type =1/2
Click on enter.
Click on cell B1.
Type arccos(x).
Click on enter.
Click on cell B2
Type =acos(A2) (=acos is the Excell command for arccos)
Click on enter
Click on cell C1.
Type arcsin(x).
Click on enter.
Click on cell C2
Type =asin(A2)
Click on enter
Click on cell D1.
Type arctan(x).
Click on enter.
Click on cell D2
Type =atan(A2)
Click on enter
Click on cell E1.
Type arccot(x).
Click on enter.
Click on cell E2
Type =acot(A2)
Click on enter.
One of the advantages of using Excel is that when you change some of your data, you can obtain the new results quickly. To illustrate that, we would like to know how the values of inverse trigonometric functions change if you change the value of x. Suppose you would like to evaluate inverse trigonometric functions at 1/3. You simply replace 1/2 with 1/3 in cell a2 and click on enter.
Click on cell A2.
Type =1/sqrt(3).
Click on enter. Note how your results in the second row change as you click on enter.
EXERCISES
Ex 1. Evaluate arccos(0). Use Excel and put your answer in cell A5. Convert your result to degrees and put that in cell B5.
Ex 2. Evaluate arctan(). Use Excel and put your answer in cell A6. Convert your result to degrees and put that in cell B6.
