From what I read in the article, creating a 10 point scale is too difficult and harsh for women to execute and show effective performance. This could also be a disadvantage for Women because if they're rated on a six point scale, they might not receive that same knowledge and skills that a 10 scale could produce. Creating a 6 point scale for men as well could give them an advantage due to them being conditioned to a 10 point rating scale. As a HR professional, I would keep males and females at the 10 point rating scale. This allows them to condition their performance and skills to that exact Rating. If anything, it gives women an advantage because they're able to complete task with the same rating as men.Why lower the scale due to certain individual's not being able to perform as such?
