Interpret an audit plan for audit for different contexts. Each of the plans must
include (at a minimum) the following information:
- General identifying information (i.e., date, auditee company name, auditee representative, location of audit etc.)
b. A statement of the audit requirement (i.e., why is the audit occurring?)
c. The audit scope (including the standards, legislation, policies/procedures,
benchmarks etc. to be utilised)
d. A clear statement of the audit objectives (i.e., what does it hope to achieve?)
e. Auditee provision of personnel for audit and other resourcing requirements
f. Roles and responsibilities of auditors (include here an audit team matrix of the
person, their responsibilities, required skills and knowledge etc.)
g. Risks (auditors, audit process, organisation, including, political, economic, social,
legal, technological and policy)
h. Risk management identification (i.e., conduct a risk assessment to identify and
manage risks to the audit team (minimum two) and audit process (minimum two)
i. Risk management action plan (complete a risk management action plan for at
least four of the risk identified in the risk management identification)
j. Timelines and schedules (i.e., audit schedule for two days and interview schedule
etc.) along with the time, date and participants the schedule should also include
the topics to be covered (where relevant) and any resources/documentation
required
k. Action plan checklist/responsibilities including timelines, tasks and person
responsible (i.e., who will do what, when?)
l. Contingency actions (i.e., if aspects of the plan do not go to plan, for example an
employee scheduled for interview might be ill or off site etc.)
m. Confidentiality requirements
n. Audit methods to be used and sampling techniques
o. Continuous improvement strategies for both the organisation and employees
p. The process/es for the distribution of reports (i.e., When how and to whom the
audit outcomes will be distributed)
q. The plan for the entry meeting and attach agenda (i.e., time/date)
r. The plan for the exit interview/meeting (i.e., time/date) also summarise the
purpose of the exit meeting and provide a list of topics you would discuss
s. Describe the strategies you would put in place to monitor and review the
performance of the auditee and the auditor's team
t. Follow-up procedures and reporting procedures
