Leadership dilemmas are humorously presented in the scenes of the interaction between the Japanese executives sent to supervise the takeover of the American factory and its somewhat resistive workforce. Preview the movie by viewing the video scene presented below. This scene is when Hunt, the representative from Hadleyville, has been sent to Japan to convince the Japanese company leadership that they should save the towns auto plant. The two cultures appear to clash immediately, as the not so culturally-appropriate behavior of Hunt is in contrast to the non-committal behavior of the Japanese.
