Nimble Storage has implemented some technological tools and structure within the organization to make things run more smoothly. This included a human resources system Workday. Workday was chosen based on the accessibility and was easy to use with what they needed (Bahrami, 2015). Another technological tool that is used is the Nimble NEXT (New Employee Experience Training) that was originally a week-long training event at the headquarters in San Jose, California, but eventually expanded out to their intranet to include everyone. Nimble has struggled with the NEXT program since due to scheduling conicts with leadership and others that provided training for the new employee orientation (Bahrami, 2015). Business Practice Analysis: Mission Statement Nimble Storage has a mission that solely focuses on being the best in the industry, stating they want to "give its customers the industry's most efficient ash storage platform " (Bahrami, 2015, p. 1). In fact, the mission statement is quite vague and does not give a lot of information about the company or what they want to accomplish. Mission statements need to a very clear declaration of the business strategy, to include what they do, how they do it, for what audience, and what value they are bringing (Hull, 2013). With the vague mission statement, it is difficult to tell that Nimble Storage is addressing customers globally. Nimble only addresses what they do in very little detail in their statement, falling short of what is needed for an effective mission statement. Additionally, for Nimble to attract a more diverse talent pool and customers, their values and mission need to be stated in a geocentric manner. Nimble started out with a mission when they were based out of the United States but failed to update over time. By showing ethnocentrism in their message, they are potentially reducing qualified job applicants and potential clients (Gowan, 2004). Due to the rapid company growth, Nimble needs to
