Nina in Minneapolis is conducting a study to see if the probability of contracting a new virus strain this year (Strain #3.102F2) is significantly less than 0.45, at a significance level of =0.005=0.005. Nina obtains a relevant random sample of size n=307n=307 in which there are 120 people who contracted the new virus strain this year.Perform an appropriate hypothesis test to help Nina make a statistically correct conclusion. Be sure to define your variable.

    • Cleary label and show all four steps of the test.
    • Show all calculations for your sample proportion and test statistic. Round both to four decimal places.
    • Use only the standard normal table to calculate your probability. Do not use Statcrunch.
    • Write your conclusion (Step 4) in a complete sentence, using the context of the problem.
    • If your sample fails the conditions make a note in your work and continue with your hypothesis test as though it did pass the conditions.

B) Enter your conclusion. Your answer should be in a complete sentence.

In the answer box, type your complete sentence conclusion for the hypothesis test. You do not have to type up all of your work in the answer box, just your final conclusion. You will upload your work in Part C. If you do not enter anything in the answer box, your work will not be scored. Your answers must match what is on your paper.
