The accounting officer has presented you with the following information relating to their cash and cash equivalents and have requested your help with the preparation of the bank reconciliation statement for March 2021: 1 The balance per the bank account in the general ledger of Ngwathe Holdings on 28 February 2021 was favourable (debit balance) R3 840 Favourable balance per bank statement on 31 March 2021 R26 733 2 Totals from the cash book in March 2021 Cash payments Cash receipts R27 600 R49 320 3 Upon inspection of the bank statement for March 2021, the following items did not appear in the accounting records of Ngwathe Holdings: 3.1 Bank charges and service fees R369 3.2 Interest eamed R201 3.3 A receivable, P Mtetwa, paid directly into Ngwathe Holdings' Bank account R360 3.4 Payment no. 284 was initiated by Ngongolo Holdings, and not by Ngwathe Holdings.
