Norma Rae

Based on the true story of Crystal Lee Sutton who was fired from J.P. Stevens textile

plant in 1973, it recounts her efforts to unionize a textile plant in North Carolina. Sally Field won

an Oscar for her performance as Norma Rae, the character based on Ms. Sutton.

libraries may allow you to check out the DVD.)
