R for Beginners Emmanuel Paradis Institut des Sciences de l'Evolution Universite Montpellier II F-34095 Montpellier ceder 05 France E-mail: paradis Oisem. uniu-montp2. frAssignment 6 Instructions EDF 3423 View the following YouTube Instructional Video and follow along with the instructor in R Studio. . Reading in, Accessing, and Summarizing Data in R, from How to R: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGkPgYfgapY As the deliverable for the assignment, you need to upload into Canvas a .Rhistory file. Obtain this file by opening a session in R Studio, following along with the video until it is complete, clicking on the "History" tab in the upper right quadrant of R Studio, clicking on the disc icon for saving, and saving the file (this is a .Rhistory file) somewhere on your computer. Essentially, this file will log all commands you executed while in the R Studio session. If you have to split your assignment between more than one R Studio session, save each .Rhistory file and label accordingly (e.g., part1.Rhistory, part2.Rhistory,...). A .Rhistory file that shows me you followed along with the video in full will receive full credit (5 out of 5 points). For each instance in which it appears you did not follow along and try things aligned with the instructional video, one point will be removed from your score. Important Note: your .Rhistory file can contain many codes in which you made errors as you followed along, or in which you played around with a command to understand it further. In fact, I hope you do play with the code above and beyond the actual codes he executes in the video. Hence, there is no "correct" .Rhistory file, but rather a correct file is simply one that shows that you followed along with the video in the way you preferred. Two identical .Rhistory files would actually indicate that you did not work alone (and individual work is required for the assignment).
