Note $4$ Supportive base

Due to the nature of the machine that will be used in the potato chip

manufacturing division, Blue Crane Ltd was required to lay a supportive base for the

machine to be installed on to ensure its proper functioning. The supportive base was laid by a third party at a total cost of R$250000.$ The R$250000$

is payable in $18$ months, which is not considered normal credit terms. The marketrelated interest rate applicable to similar transactions is considered as $8\%$ per annum.

The supportive base has a useful life of $5$ years and no residual value. Prepare all the general journal entries required to account for the supportive

base, refer to note $4,$ in the records of Blue Crane Ltd for the financial year

ending $31$ December $2024$
