Read the business plan example, Tranquility Day Spa, as a resource. You may read through it to answer questions you may have to help you complete your assignment. You can not use the information this business plan for yourself.

You will be developing your business in a group. Groups will be assigned randomly. The group needs to meet in the first week in order have contact information shared and roles defined. There will be time in class every week for group members to meet and catch up if you were not able to do so on your own. Members of the group that do not have roles assigned or miss more than two in-class meetings will be deducted 20% from the final mark. If none of the in-class meetings are attended, then they will receive 50% of the final mark. If you are unable to attend in-class meeting, then an email must be written to me to explain the reason.

It is essential to work together in a group assignment. The in-class time is a way to facilitate participation by all members. The goal is to limit issues due to limited or no communication by group members.

Scenario

You are wanting to work for yourself and start a business once you graduate from Humber College. You will be opening the business with several business partners (the members of your group). You need to find a location and decide the services, products, funding, employees and anything else to run a successful business.
