Objective The objective of Week 3 Lab is to evaluate an application of linear programming such as a transportation problem using Solver in Excel. Deliverables Submit a Word document with your answers to Steps 25. Step 2: Complete Problem 5-56 from Chapter 5 in the textbook. Formulate and solve (Using Solver) Problem 5-56. This should include setting up an accurate model. Step 3: Create a table showing shipments. Create a table showing the shipments that minimize cost. Note the total cost. Step 4: Explain results to CEO. Explain what the results show as if you are talking to your company president. Explanation should include reporting results from the data and also analyzing the results with good discussion of what the results mean for the manager or CEO. Step 5: Describe what you learned. Lastly, describe what you learned in this assignment and how long it took you to complete it (minus the text reading part)
